We'll be back
WTG, like all drama groups, have been unable to do much planning, but the committee wish you to know that we are thinking of you all and our future performances and as soon as it is feasible to do so, we hope you will come forward to participate both on and offstage, so that our lovely group can continue to provide entertainment, once again.
We have looked at pantomimes and when it is safe to do so, we will have auditions and give consideration to performing “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. Both Ann Sherwood and Maureen Hutter, have kindly agreed to direct and when we can proceed, we are in for a real treat.
We also have another director, DeeDee Doke, who is keen to direct an adult musical called Dogfight, next year and we are tentatively making plans for that as well.
The youth production,” Margolin and the Sacred Jewel of Galloran”, which was sadly halted in March will definitely continue and be performed next year, too. The rehearsals were going extremely well before lockdown and we hope all performers will continue with it when it is indicated that we can proceed.
We will keep you updated when we are free to have rehearsals and ultimately, performances.
In the meantime, keep safe and well.
With all good wishes from Wilburton Theatre Group Committee
